Hopefully this exercise has led you to appreciate how many metrics are out there and how quickly you can generate a LOT of data to quantitatively describe a landscape. The coding part that you just learned is the easy part. The hard part, if you want to apply this in the real world, is figuring out which metric(s) is most approrpiate and meaningful for your landscape or project. Have fun!
